Friendliness and openness impress

The student teachers from Germany, Norway and Poland took part in the “Global Ethics Lesson” in six different classes: this lesson is an important part of the school culture as a Global Ethic School and is on the timetable once a week. The elementary school in Aischbach has held the “Global Ethic School” award since December 2022.

The students then discussed their impressions with the teachers. The students were particularly impressed by the pleasant school atmosphere and the friendliness and openness of the pupils.

Julia Willke is in charge of the ValiDE project in the Global Ethic Foundation’s education department: together with Hilke Rapp, project employee at Weingarten University of Education, she accompanied the 20 students during their stay in Tübingen.

Among other things, the students learned about the educational offers and educational projects of the Global Ethic Foundation, such as the “Global Ethic School” program.

ValiDE is a European university cooperation project led by the University of Education Weingarten with the University of Education Krakow and the University of Agder as well as three non-governmental organizations, including the Global Ethic Foundation.

The aim of the project is to improve values and democracy education in elementary school as part of primary school teacher training.
