GLOBAL ETHIC EXHIBITION
GETTING TO KNOW THE WORLD OF RELIGIONS BETTER
The Global Ethic Exhibition “World Religions – World Peace – Global Ethic” would like to invite you to get to know the fascinating world of religions! This will facilitate a better understanding of religions as well as the significance of their ethical messages and their relevance for our time.
Since 2000, the Global Ethic Exhibition has been shown in many different languages in Germany and in many places around the world: in schools, town halls, religious communities and educational institutions as well as to educational authorities and international organizations such as the UN in New York, the IMF in Washington or the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It is also often used for project weeks, lecture series and intercultural events.
Concept
The Global Ethic Exhibition consists of sixteen panels:
Eight panels provide basic information about eight religions and their ethical messages.
Eight further panels show and illustrate the principles and values of the Global Ethic – and their relevance for today:
– Humanity
– Reciprocity (the “Golden Rule”)
– Non-violence
– Justice
– Truthfulness
– Equality & Partnership
– Sustainability
There are also QR codes on the boards (not in the poster version). These link up with videos in which representatives of different religions, as well as employees of the foundation, take a stand on global ethic values and fundamental questions about the global ethic. All videos can be found here.
Die Weltethos-Ausstellung „Weltreligionen – Weltfrieden – Weltethos“ möchte einladen, die faszinierende Welt der Religionen besser kennen zu lernen und die Bedeutung ihrer ethischen Botschaften in Ihrer Relevanz für unsere heutige Zeit besser zu verstehen.
Seit 2000 wird die Weltethos Ausstellung in Deutschland und an vielen Orten der Welt in verschiedenen Sprachen gezeigt: in Schulen, Rathäusern, bei Religionsgemeinschaften, in Bildungseinrichtungen und Behörden, aber auch bei internationalen Organisationen wie der UNO in New York, dem IWF in Washington oder dem Europäischen Parlament in Straßburg. Häufig wird sie auch bei Projektwochen, Vortragsreihen und interkulturellen Veranstaltungen eingesetzt.
KONZEPT
Die Weltethos Ausstellung besteht aus sechzehn Tafeln:
Acht Tafeln bieten Grundlageninformationen über acht Religionen und ihre ethische Botschaften.
Acht weitere Tafeln zeigen und illustrieren die Prinzipien und Werte des Weltethos – und deren Relevanz für die heutige Zeit:
– Menschlichkeit
– Gegenseitigkeit (die „Goldene Regel“)
– Gewaltlosigkeit
– Gerechtigkeit
– Wahrhaftigkeit
– Partnerschaft
– Nachhaltigkeit
Auf den Tafeln (nicht in der Poster-Version) befinden sich zudem QR-Codes, die auf Videos verweisen, in denen Vertreter*innen verschiedener Religionen sowie Mitarbeitende der Stiftung zu den Weltethos-Werten und grundsätzlichen Fragen zum Thema Weltethos Stellung beziehen.
