VALUE CREATION AND FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
A Global Ethic School receives professional and financial support from the Global Ethic Foundation, in addition to content-related impulses in the areas of “Interreligious Education” and “Values and Democracy Education.” At the same time, when taking the step to become a Global Ethic School an important process it initiated within the school. he award is a “seal of approval,” which gives the school a distinct profile and generates an interest in the school. Moreover, Global Ethic Schools are part of a network: they benefit from the mutual exchange of experience.

Individual realisation
of the Global Ethic values
The Global Ethic Foundation guides schools towards a value-oriented school culture. Each school discovers its own way: Within the framework of the criteria, there is a wide range of designs for the respective school culture. This diversity enriches the common network in which Global Ethic schools learn with, and from, one another.

Impressions of the Global Ethic Schools
DIGITAL GLOBAL ETHIC MEETING WITH “ACTIVE4FUTURE”
The first digital network meeting for students at Global Ethic schools took place in October 2021. The topic of the meeting was: ‘What can ecological responsibility look like at Global Ethic schools?’ 36 students from 10 different Global Ethic schools took part in the online event. They discussed their ideas and approaches in depth.
EDUCATIONAL DAY ON THE GLOBAL ETHIC
The Global Ethic Foundation organised an educational day at a primary school in Tübingen on the topic of ‘Values education at primary schools based on the global ethic idea’. The commitment and inventiveness of the teachers and school child carers motivated them on their way to becoming a Global Ethic School.
INTERCULTURAL FAST BREAKING
For the third time, the intercultural breaking of the fast took place in the cafeteria of the Städtisches Gymnasium Ahlen. The evening began with a recitation of the Koran by the Imam, followed by an explanation of the meaning of Ramadan and fasting in Islam. They then ate together. Afterwards, the students shared their experiences of fasting in different religions. I fast because it brings me closer to my religion’ - everyone was able to agree on this.
GLOBAL ETHIC SCHOOL GARDEN
At the re-certified Niederzier/Merzenich comprehensive school, the school garden, which was designed together with Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Taucha, a global ethic school in Saxony, is impressive: Here, the principles and values of global ethics are visualised and accessible.
MAKING A STAND AGAINST DISCRIMINATION
After homophobic actions by female pupils at the beginning of the school year, which were directed against posters from the Global Ethic Group, the staff at Zeppelin-Gymnasium took a clear stance against any discrimination of gender identities in an open letter. The letter, signed by all colleagues, has since been hanging in the centre of the teachers' room, clearly visible to everyone. This action was inspired by the dialogue with the Global Ethic representatives from Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium at the last Global Ethic Schools network meeting.
