Religion(s) in the Municipal Context

Consulting Services

Religious actors are an important part of civil society. With the growing religious diversity in Germany, municipalities face new challenges – but also new opportunities.

The Global Ethic Foundation supports local administrations in addressing religion-related policy issues with sensitivity and expertise. Our consulting service “Religion(s) in the Municipality” offers practical support to promote interreligious dialogue, resolve emerging conflicts, and strengthen social cohesion.

DEALING WITH RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY

WHY RELIGIOUS LITERACY MATTERS

From burial rites and prayer rooms to dietary requirements in daycare centers and schools – municipal administrations encounter a wide range of religion-related issues in their daily work.

Addressing religious topics often raises complex questions, and staff members are frequently looking for guidance and orientation. Our program enhances the ability to recognize religious needs and respond appropriately. In doing so, we lay the groundwork for peaceful coexistence in a pluralistic society.
