Tracing the Way – Exploring the tracks of the world religions
  
For over a year, Hans Küng worked on this grand-scale multimedia project on the theme “World Religions – Universal Peace – Global Ethic”. At the centre was a seven-part television documentary series “Hans Küng: Spurensuche” on the major religious traditions of the world, produced by the Südwest Rundfunk (SWR), in cooperation with the Schweizer Fernsehen DRS. An English version of this film series appeared under the title “On the trails of the world religions”. Alongside the films, which are available in DVD form, an illustrated book with the essential texts was published, and a CD-ROM with additional material was also produced.
All of these products were presented to the public at the Frankfurter Buchmesse in 1999.
 
    
Academic advisors to the project:
Prof. Karl-Josef Kuschel und Dr. Stephan Schlensog, the latter also accompanied Prof. Hans Küng at the shootings in various parts of the world and was responsible for the image documentation.
