Publication of the book “Tracing the Way. Spiritual Dimensions of the World Religions” and of the accompanying CD-ROM. 1997–1998 Prize competition “Teaching projects”: instruction models for the school, for adult education and for parish work based on the Global Ethic Declaration from Chicago. August 5–17, 1997 Youth camp “Find Your World”: a youth camp sponsored by the Austrian project “Global Ethic Concrete” including encounters between Jews, Christians and Muslims.

December 1–8, 1999 Cape Town, South Africa: Assembly of the Parliament of the World’s Religions. A new document “A Call to Our Guiding Institutions” was presented. October 10–14, 2001 The second conference on Global Ethic and Traditional Chinese Ethic November, 2001 “Global Ethic in the Face of Global Threat”: Twelve Reflections December 3, 2001 – January 10, 2002 The exhibition “World Religions – Universal Peace – Global Ethic” conceived by the Global Ethic Foundation was shown in the United Nations headquarters in New York. It was the first time that the exhibition was shown in the United States.

January 21, 2002 Second Global Ethic Lecture given by Mary Robinson, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights September 19, 2002 – November 1, 2002 The exhibition “World Religions – Universal Peace – Global Ethic” was shown in the International Monetary Fund headquarters in Washington. September 26–28, 2002 Interdisciplinary symposium in Tübingen on the theme “A New Paradigm of International Relations? Ethical Challenges for the Conduct of World Politics”: Renowned scholars – peace researchers, political scientists, cultural scientists, sociologists, philosophers, theologians – discussed possible ways of conducting world politics in accord with ethical considerations.

June 28 – August 3, 2003 The exhibition “World Religions – Universal Peace – Global Ethic” was shown in the Kunsthalle Tübingen, accompanied by a broad offering of lectures and other events. July 10, 2004 International Awards for the Global Ethic Foundation (Interfaith Education Award) and for Hans Küng (Juliet Hollister Award) given by the inter-religious organization “Temple of Understanding” based in New York at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Barcelona. February 7, 2006 Interview with Prof. Hans Küng: “Strengthening the reform-minded forces within Islam!” May 10, 2006 Sixth Global Ethic Lecture given by Jacques Rogge, IOC President July 6–8, 2006 Interdisciplinary Symposium in Tübingen on the theme “Natural Science and Religion”: aim of the symposium was to intensify the dialogue between the natural sciences and philosophy/theology regarding questions of the origin of the cosmos, of life and of mankind. November 2006 The Global Ethic Foundation of Columbia was founded in 2006 by Carlos Paz, a lawyer and social development expert. December 2006 Hans Küng received the Lev-Kopelev-Prize for Peace and Human Rights 2006. The prize is named for the Russian humanist and literary scholar Lev Kopelev (1912–1997), who lived in exile in Cologne from 1981 on and untiringly worked for reconciliation between Germans and Russians. 2006 The Global Ethic Foundation of Mexico was founded in 2006 at the initiative of the businessman and philanthropist Gerardo Martinez Cristerna and his wife.
